Hi Canberra, you might remember me as the high tea virgin who popped her cherry at a High Tea on the Burbury Terrace earlier this year. Well, after that indulgent experience I have my sights set on something a little more lavish at Buvette Bistro and Wine Bar – its much loved Petit Feast.
The boozy brunch trend has taken off on an international scale with Saturday sittings popular in New York, London, France and Sydney. Now we Canberrans can enjoy the trend closer to home as Buvette presents a delightful range of savoury and sweet bite-sized treats, with a side of rosé or sparkling upon arrival.
The Petit Feast is Buvette’s savoury answer to the classic high tea and is the only one of its kind in the Canberra region. Set in the Parisian chic restaurant, the feast presents a bevvy of savouries, charcuterie, cheeses and a selection of decadent desserts to really tickle your taste buds.
Although the offerings are subject to change from week to week to keep thing exciting, your average setting will include a selection of Buvette’s famous duck liver parfait, soft and hard cheese varieties, delicate finger sandwiches, olives, oysters, quiche and warm pastries.
Taking it one step further, a Petit Feast experience also gets you a suite of bottomless beverages! For an extra $15 you can add a line-up of bottomless Mimosas (champagne and orange juice) to the bill. The champagne and orange juice hit matches perfectly with the antipasto selection and sweet treats, but if this cocktail isn’t your thing don’t fret, the feast also offers the option of a Bloody Mary for an extra $10.
With Executive Chef Fabien Wagnon in the kitchen, you’re sure to experience the finesse and flavour of French cuisine in the selection of desserts. Enjoy mini tarts, crème brûlée, macarons, scones and chocolate tartlets to add a sweet touch to the experience.
Food is made to be enjoyed and in France, good food is created to be savoured among the people we love. So why not grab a group of friends and family and reserve your place for Saturday brunch at the Buvette Petit Feast.
